Most firearms training is built around taking a class once or twice a year. While those classes can be valuable, it’s difficult to build lasting skill without consistent instruction.
POD Training Group is built around a 2,000+ square foot training facility where members train on a regular basis—more like a gym membership than a traditional firearms course. Instead of trying to learn everything in a single weekend, you’ll develop your skills week after week through structured coaching, dry-fire training, simulator scenarios, simunition bays, force-on-force exercises, and live-fire confirmation—all included in your membership.
Our goal isn’t simply to teach techniques—it’s to develop shooters who can process information quickly, move efficiently, and deliver accurate hits at speed through consistent, performance-based training.
We also believe force-on-force training is most valuable when it’s introduced at the right time. Rather than placing inexperienced shooters into scenarios before they’ve built the necessary skills, we first develop the fundamentals. Once those are in place, you’ll apply them against a live, thinking opponent in realistic force-on-force scenarios, allowing you to get far more from every training session.

The majority of the skills that make someone a great shooter are developed before a live round is ever fired. Drawing from the holster, target transitions, movement, reloads, vision, grip, grip pressure, decision-making, and all around efficient weapon manipulations are actually built through training that doesn’t consist of live ammunition.
Live fire is essential—but it should be used to confirm the skills you’ve developed beforehand, not to learn them from scratch. By separating skill development from recoil and ammunition costs, you can perform significantly more quality repetitions, receive immediate feedback, and build consistent performance faster than relying on costly live-fire sessions alone.
At POD Training Group, we believe live fire validates your training which is why it is included in our memberships but the real improvement comes from hundreds and thousands of high-quality repetitions performed day after day, week after week in a structured environment.
-
Because repeating the same routine doesn’t guarantee progress. Without structured training, measurable standards, and honest feedback, it’s easy to mistake familiarity for proficiency.
At POD, every training session has a purpose. You’ll continually challenge your abilities, track your progress, and develop the skills that define high-performance shooters.
-
That’s why you should come on in. Everyone starts somewhere. Our goal isn’t to compare you to other members—it’s to help you become a better shooter than you were yesterday. In fact, being surrounded by others with the same goal to be better will actually motivate you even more.
Training is about identifying weaknesses, correcting them, and building confidence through consistent practice. No one is expected to be perfect. That’s why even us as instructors still train everyday.
